*wiki-special opens inside the Springfield Motor Speedway inside Timmy's hauler with Timmy, Bubbles, Bart, Lisa, Buttercup, Ed and Tommy & Tammy Turner having breakfast*
Timmy (as he was mixing his french vanilla coffee): *sad sigh* Crocker must be raving mad now after last week's tirade of horror and punishment (in reference to the "2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 400 Fantasy Edition" wiki). Not only I got fined $250,000 last week, but NASCAR put me on probation for the entire postseason and Mr. Fassler spoke to me SEVERELY before we went home after last week's fight. Luckily, Mr. Fassler gave me a second chance, and probably my LAST chance!!!!
Bubbles: Timmy, please don't so be hard on yourself. I told you that night after your private scolding session with Mr Fassler that it was a mistake and that you learned from it. I spoke to Mr. Fassler last night, and he said he still loves you like his little boy and that he knows how guilty you feel after last week's big fight.
Bart: After all, I DID shove Crocker into Timmy in that brawl in the pits. Whoa-hoa-hoa! That was so cool!
Lisa: I strongly recommend you mind your business, Bart. Plus, you got fined last week, too. Why? For shoving Crocker into Timmy to begin the scary brawl in the pits.
Tommy: Let's not forget Crocker received penalties last week as well. Not only he was fined $250,000 for fighting, but he spent 5 days in jail for punching 2 race officials and throwing them out of the way just so that he run into this hauler and attack Dad (referring to Timmy).
Ed: Like street fighters?
Timmy: *sad sigh* I still think Mr. Fassler is still mad at me. *tears up*
Jack Fassler (calmly): *enters the hauler* Good morning, guys. Would you mind if I join in and speak to Timmy, please?
Buttercup: Totally, Mr. Fassler.
Tammy Turner: Please feel free, Sir.
Timmy (in his head / tearing up): I hope Mr. Fassler's not cross with me still.*nervous gulp*
Jack Fassler (calmly): *sits down* I know that you're sorry, Timmy for last week's deliberate wreck on Crocker. And I know how you DEEPLY feel inside, and that you would never pull a reckless stunt like that again.
Timmy (in a soft crying way): Well, you shouldn't go easy on me like the way you scolded me in your office last week after my misfortune with Crocker. I don't deserve to race under your name of Team Fastex. *sobs softly*
Jack Fassler (while he was calmly holding onto Timmy's shoulder): Please don't think that, you know I'll always love you as my little boy. And plus, *short pause* you learned 2 very important lessons.
Timmy (sadly): What lesson? *sniff*
Jack Fassler (calmly): The lessons were that revenge is not the best dish served, and that you need to let whatever happened to you months ago go (in reference to Crocker wrecking Timmy on the last lap in the "2000 Coca-Cola 600 Fantasy Edition" wiki) and move on.
Snap: *enters the hauler* Excuse me, bucko. Oh, hiya Mr. Fassler! Can I speak to Timmy please.
Jack Fassler: Absolutely, Snap.
Snap (calmly): *sits down* Listen, Bucko I-I-I'm sorry I snapped at ya and was extremely hard on ya last week, and I'm DEEPLY sorry for callin' ya "Timmy Backstabber", even though I really didn't mean it. I now know it was a mistake you learned from. We all make mistakes and learn from them. I forgive ya, Tim.
Timmy: Thanks, Snap.
Snap (calmly): No problem-o, Bucko. *hugs Timmy in apology and forgiveness*
Jack Fassler: Snap does have a point, Timmy. None of last week's melee would've happened if you let what Crocker did to you in Charlotte months ago go by.
Timmy (sadly): I WAS kind of a jerk last week (in reference to the "2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 400 Fantasy Edition" wiki).
Jack Fassler (calmly): But now we're going to drop it and push it aside, and we're going to start on a high note. You're forgiven, Timmy.
Timmy (sadly but relieved): Oh, thank you so much, Mr. Fassler. *sniff* *he and Jack Fassler hug in apology and forgiveness*
Jack Fassler: And by the way, I selected your son Tommy Turner to be a fill-in driver for Double-D, because either before or during the race, Double-D is going to be inside the infield care-center because his wife, Jackie might give birth to their daughter.
Bubbles (cutely): Awwww, I want to see the baby after the race today! They're so cute when they're newborns!
Ed: I love babies, guys! Coochie coochie, coo!
Bart: Man, I wish I had a kid. I'd show him every prank in my book and he'd continue my legacy and fill in for me in the races!
Buttercup: Don't worry, B-man. We will someday. And hey, if it's a girl, we won't raise her all girly-like! BLECH!
Jack Fassler: So do you think you can handle a NASCAR Winston Cup Series car for the first time since your win in the NASCAR Busch Series race 2 Fridays ago?
Tommy: You bet I am, Mr. Fassler!
Mr. Fassler (proudly): Good. I'm gonna need you at Edd's pitbox by pre-race ceremonies before the race in a #20 Home Depot uniform, and be ready to climb in once the first caution flag comes out when Edd comes into the pits.
Tommy: Right-o, Sir! *scene cuts to the Springfield Motor Speedway infield care-center with a pregnant Jackie in a hospital bed* *scene cuts to the Springfield Motor Speedway infield care-center with a pregnant Jackie in a hospital bed*
Edd: I really hope our little Evelyn becomes a healthy baby after birth. Oh, I can feel myself shaking already. I hope they let me leave the race at the earliest opportunity in order to see our little Evelyn for the first time. They said Evelyn might be born during the beginning or middle of today's race. They're not a 100% sure yet.
Jackie: Awwww... don't worry hon. I'm sure little Evelyn would be healthy enough and that NASCAR WOULD let you leave the race, because after all, Jack Fassler DID select Tommy Turner to fill in for you once you pull into the pits whether it's the green flag or the caution flag.
Bob Jenkins (ESPN): (to an overview of the Springfield Motor Speedway) We're here live from yet again, a brand new city to have a NASCAR Winston Cup Series event! The construction of this new Springfield Motor Speedway in downtown Springfield was completed 2 weeks ago, and Race 1 of NASCAR's playoff series will be the VERY first race this new racing facility will EVER host! (scene fades into the ESPN Broadcast Booth / in unison, the playoff crowd cheering and roaring is heard in the background) Hello everyone, I'm Bob Jenkins alongside former NASCAR Champion and race analyst, Benny Parsons. BP, after last week's melee at Richmond (in reference to the "2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 400 Fantasy Edition" wiki), Timmy Turner will have to REALLY watch out for his arch-nemesis, Denzel Crocker.
Benny Parsons (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd cheering and roaring being heard in the background): Indeed he must Bob, because Timmy Turner's deliberate wreck on Denzel Crocker and post-race brawl incident really got the evil former-teacher raving mad at the #24 team. Denzel Crocker said on his pre-race interview this morning on "NASCAR Today" that he would do EVERYTHING to knock Timmy and his wife (referring to Bubbles') out of the playoffs and make their lives miserable and that Timmy would rue the day he ever messed with Team REXCOR. Man, oh man Crocker really did take out his fury out on the Turners after last week's melee.
Bob Jenkins (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd cheering and roaring being heard in the background): Well, Timmy Turner and Denzel Crocker aren't alone. Another playoff contender, Lisa Simpson remains in her FIERCE feud with non-playoff contender, Princess Morebucks. Don't you think it'll remain fierce, BP?
Benny Parsons (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd cheering and roaring being heard in the background) I think so, Bob. Because after 3 weeks ago's race in Bristol (referring to the "2000 Sharpie 500 Fantasy Edition" wiki) when Lisa Simpson put Princess Morebucks in the wall, Morebucks not only furiously threw her helmet at Lisa's #88 car while Lisa was passing by under the caution flag, Morebucks also threw her vicious attitude on camera and cussed on her interview. Man oh, man, Morebucks REALLY HATES Lisa Simpson after Lisa cost the spoiled brat (referring to Princess Morebucks) her playoff dreams, and she said on her pre-race interview today that she would do EVERYTHING to destroy Lisa's chances at clinching the Championship.
Bob Jenkins (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd cheering and roaring being heard in the background): Can Lisa Simpson and Timmy Turner stay off their foes and succeed in this first playoff race? We'll find out as the race goes on. The drivers are ready, the fans are ready, and WE'RE ready to get Race 1 of the 2000 "Chase For The Cup" underway here in Springfield, Illinois! Let's go trackside for the command!
Kent Brockman (Track P.A Announcer): And now, Springfield NASCAR fans *playoff crowd cheers and roars louder in unison* it is now time for the 4 most famous words in motorsports! Please welcome your grand marshal, spokesperson and founder of the Krusty Burger franchise, Krusty The Clown! *playoff crowd cheers and roars loudly*
Krusty: Hey, hey! It's your ol' pal Krusty! On behalf of all the Krusty Burgers around Springfield! GENTLEMEN, START YOUR ENGINES!!!! *playoff crowd cheers and roars LOUDLY in unison* *laughs goofy* (unenuthiastically / in unison to the cheering and roaring playoff crowd) Now shaddup and drive.
*engines start and rev loudly, in unison to the HYSTERICALLY cheering and roaring loudly*
(in Turns 3 & 4, on the final warmup lap behind the pace-car)
Edd (starting 13th / to himself): *deep worried sigh* Please hang on, Jackie. I know I'll be there when you're ready to give birth to our Evelyn. I don't care whether it's the green flag or the yellow caution flag, the moment Mr. Fassler tells me you're in labor, I'm STILL pitting and abandoning my #20 Home Depot Pontiac to be there for you when you give birth to our Evelyn because FAMILY comes first. Luckily I have Tommy Turner in the pits to relieve me in order to keep me and my #20 team in the race and this first round of the Championship Playoff Series. *scene cuts back to the track*
Bob Jenkins (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd cheering and roaring): We're glad you're with us on ESPN as we're just about ready to go here in Race 1 of the 2000 "Chase For The Cup" Playoff Series! *playoff crowd cheers and roars louder as the pace-car pulls into the pits* The pace car has pulled into the pit-road, and Springfield's own Mayor Quimby is set with the green flag in his hands, ready for the start of the Krusty Burger 400... *cars accelerate to take the green flag waved by Mayor Quimby, in unison to the HYSTERICALLY cheering and roaring playoff crowd*... and now he waves it! The green flag is out and we're underway in the Krusty Burger 400!
Joe Moore (MRN Radio): The pace-car leads the field off Turn #4 and now turns onto the pit-lane! The field is now lined up with a Chevy and Ford up front side-by-side, and for the start of Race 1 of the 2000 "Chase For The Cup" Playoff Series, here's Barney Hall!
Barney Hall (MRN Radio): Green flag goes in the air and we're underway in the Krusty Burger 400. They race to Turn #1. This should be a "frantic" lap cause everybody's gonna be tryin' to get down to the bottom of the racetrack. They head for Turn #2.
Dave Moody (MRN Radio): Bloo Kazoo's already got the bottom in the inside pole! He will take the lead as they race into Turns 1 and 2! Snap White's looking for daylight on the bottom of the racetrack, he slides it into single-file!
Mike Bagley (MRN Radio): Snap White swings to the high side of the racetrack, and then behind Bloo Kazoo as Kazoo leads them back to the corner! White falls in line in 2nd! Cindy Vortex and Buttercup Simpson!
Joe Moore (MRN Radio): Buttercup Simpson, the powerpuff girl on the move is down to the inside of Evil Jimmy Clone and quickly gets by the #17 machine! Now Buttercup goes to work on the next car line which is Cindy Vortex, and Buttercup quickly slides by Vortex and moves into 3rd!
Dave Moody (MRN Radio): Buttercup Simpson's as quick as that into the #3 position! And at the front of the pack, Snap White wants the lead! He looks to the inside on Bloo Kazoo! He puts the wheel under him but he can't make it stick off Turn #2!
Mike Bagley (MRN Radio): Further back, Evil Jimmy Clone drops out of line battling Cindy Vortex for 5th! In matter of fact, they almost stacked them 3-wide as it's Vortex, Simpson, and Evil Jimmy Clone "knotted up" there!
Barney Hall (MRN Radio): Off Turn #4, there's gonna be a change for the lead at the start/finish line this time. Snap White makes the run, gets a good one off the corner and takes it away from Bloo Kazoo. Can he stay out there? They head for Turn #2.
Dave Moody (MRN Radio): Into the banking of Turn #1, Snap White pulls away by a car-length! Bloo Kazoo is drop-kicked back to 2nd about 7-lengths back to Evil Jimmy Clone, then Cindy Vortex! It's 2-by-2 in the battle for 5th!
Mike Bagley (MRN Radio): That is Buttercup Simpson and Trixie Tang! Buttercup's beginning the shuffle backward in the early going! Trixie Tang opens the inside lane! 2 females battle side-by-side midway through Turns 3 and 4!
Joe Moore (MRN Radio): Buttercup's holding onto the 5th position, or at least TRYING to as Trixie Tang works on her and Eddy McRich, who's another one of the playoff contenders, who's also part of that battle! McRich is just waiting to see which one of those lanes is gonna open up in Turn #1!
*scene cuts to the infield care center while Duck was waiting by the door to overhear Jackie*
Jackie (in a groaning way): *groans in pain* My water broke! Guess, the baby's ready... *groans in pain*
Duck: *pulls out his radio* Jack! *scene cuts to Jack Fassler in Edd's pitbox with Tommy Turner*
Duck (voice only / with the cars at race speed being heard in the background): Jackie has just got into labor! You must tell Double-D to bring it into the pits next time around and put Tommy in the #20 car for the remainder of the race.
Dave Moody (MRN Radio / heard in the background): Trouble in Turn #1 *the playoff crowd suddenly gasps at the scene* as Patrick Star spins and hits the outside retaining wall! The cars now scramble low and high trying to avoid the #75 Redcell Ford!
Jack Fassler: Indeed I will Duck, now that there's a caution flag! *goes on Edd's in-car radio* Eddward, *scene cuts to Edd's cockpit*
(slowing down for the caution flag in the backstretch and Turn #3)
Jack Fassler: (voice only) Jackie has gone into labor! I'm sending you into the pits, and Tommy Turner's gonna take over for you for the end of the race! Tommy's by my side right now waiting for you!
Edd (in 12th / to himself): *huge sigh of relief* Well, miracle of birth. We finally shall meet our first encounter. *scene cuts to Jack Fassler and Tommy Turner (in a #20 Home Depot racing suit) in Edd's pitbox*
Jack Fassler *while holding onto both of Tommy's shoulders*: Okay, Tom. When Edd pulls in and makes a complete halt, and when I say "now", you run to Edd's car while Edd gets out, you quickly get in and strap in, and take over for the rest of the race.
Tommy: Got it, Sir! I'm so pumped up for this!
Jack Fassler (while holding onto both of Tommy's shoulders): I bet you are, Tom. *suddenly sees Edd's 20 Home Depot Pontiac pull onto pit road in the distance* *gasps* Get ready! Here he comes! *scene cuts to an overview of Edd's car*
Edd (voice only / worried): I must see Evelyn, I must see Evelyn. *scene cuts to the ESPN Broadcast Booth*
Bob Jenkins (ESPN): We're under the 2nd Servicemaster Clean caution flag of today's Krusty Burger 400, *scene cuts to the track* and right now we see something unusual at this moment. Nobody but Eddward Marion has pulled into the pits.
Benny Parsons (ESPN): I don't know what's gotten into Edd. The cars had made their pit-stops after the first caution on Lap 11 (for a #93 Officer Brikowski crash in Turn #3), but it looks like Edd might have a reason to pull into the pits. The fact is we don't know the reason why he's doin' this early in the race. *scene cuts to Edd's pitbox*
Jack Fassler (while holding onto both of Tommy's shoulders): Okay, Tommy. Here he comes, so get ready.
Tommy: I was BORN ready, Mr. Fassler!
Jack Fassler (as Edd was approaching his #20 Home Depot pit stall): Ready... ready.... *Edd's #20 Home Depot Pontiac screeches to a halt inside the pitbox* NOW! *Tommy runs to Edd's car*
Edd: *exits his #20 Home Depot Pontiac quickly, and quickly gives Tommy his helmet* It's all yours, Tommy! *runs for the infield care-center*
Tommy: *gets in Edd's racecar, puts his helmet on, straps in, and pulls out of the pits* *scene cuts to the track*
Bob Jenkins (ESPN): It appears that he's having Tommy Turner fill in for him!
Benny Parsons (ESPN): What is with, Eddward Marion?! We never seen him do that unexpectedly! *scene cuts to Edd running inside the infield-care center*
Edd (in relief): *runs and pants, opens the door and enters the room where a pregnant Jackie and Dexter were in* Jackie! I got here as fast I could! I hope I'm not too late!
Jackie (in a painfully groaning way): You're just in time, dear! *breathes rapidly*
Dexter: Don't worry, Jackie I shall assist you! I've experienced birth once before (referring to the Dexter's Laboratory episode, "911 Emergency")
Edd (in a worried, calm way): I hope it's enough experience for a boy genius like you.
Dexter: Now, just relax and push... push.... push! *as Jackie strains and screams, the scene cuts to the track on Lap 32 of 267 laps*
Barney Hall (MRN Radio): Green flag goes back in the air and they take off to Turn #1. Bloo Kazoo punches the throttle and gets a good restart. Buttercup Simpson tried to get a run on him and couldn't do it. Let's see what she can do in Turn #1.
Dave Moody (MRN Radio): She'll maintain her position right there in 2nd about a car-length behind Bloo Kazoo! Kazoo's trying to hold the bottom of the racetrack and he wobbles a bit, but it's not enough for Buttercup to get by him!
Mike Bagley (MRN Radio): Trouble in Turns 3 & 4 as Spongebob Squarepants (in unison, Spongebob shrieks as he spins into the wall) gets turned around by Bubble Bass and POWS hard into the outside retaining wall! (in unison, Bubble Bass' snobbish laugh is heard and at the same time, Spongebob angrily cries out "BARNACLES!!!!" as he did in the Spongebob Squarepants episode "Rock Bottom") The cars scramble low and high trying to avoid the wrecked #36 M&Ms Pontiac! *scene cuts to the ESPN Broadcast Booth*
Bob Jenkins (ESPN): The 3rd Servicemaster Clean caution flag is out in the Krusty Burger 400 *scene cuts back to the track* after Spongebob Squarepants spanked the wall in Turn #4. But the main headline of this race so far is that we don't know why Eddward Marion had decided to pull into the pits and have Tommy Turner take his ride.
Benny Parsons (ESPN): That was somethin' unusual to ever see in a NASCAR Winston Cup Series event.
Bob Jenkins (ESPN): We now go to Dr. Jerry Punch for more on the story on Eddward Marion. *scene cuts to the trons around the speedway*
(as the cars are slowly moving on the backstretch for the caution flag)
Dr. Jerry Punch (ESPN): Thanks, Bob. The reason why Eddward had decided to leave today's race early is because of THIS *camera shows Edd and Jackie holding newborn Evelyn in Jackie's care-center bed*, their first daughter *in unison the playoff crowd immediately cheers and roars mixed in with awws* has just been born and Edd KNEW it was the right move to make in today's race. Wasn't it, Eddward? *scene cuts to the infield care-center*
Edd (being interviewed by ESPN's Dr. Jerry Punch): Indeed it was, Jerry, because FAMILY comes first. Luckily, our head crew-chief, Douglas "Duck" Dunaka decided to listen in on the commotion and notified Mr. Fassler on his radio, causing Mr. Fassler to notify me that my wife is ready to deliver. I was fortunate enough to catch a caution flag in order to pull into the pits without going a lap down. Luckily, Timmy Turner's son took over for me for the remainder of the race so that I can be with me and Jackie's first born kid.
Dr. Jerry Punch (ESPN): Edd and Jackie are really happy to "enjoy their bundle of joy". Back to you, Bob. *scene cuts to the track*
Bob Jenkins (ESPN): So Eddward Marion has officially become a parent.
Benny Parsons (ESPN): No wonder why Edward Marion left the race early!
Joe Moore (MRN Radio): The green flag goes back in the air as Eddy McRich leads the charge into Turn #1! He's got plenty of company there! Bart Simpson and Bloo Kazoo make it 3-wide into Turn #1!
Dave Moody (MRN Radio): They're all on Eddy like hungry kids in a candy store! Bart Simpson's looking to the bottom! Trixie Tang's even lower, and here comes Bloo Kazoo again, rim-riding the outside to 3rd!
Mike Bagley (MRN Radio): Here they come onto the backstraightaway! Bloo Kazoo goes low! Bart Simpson blocks him! Chops him off of the end of the backstraightaway! Simpson protects 2nd, and Bloo Kazoo rides in 3rd!
Barney Hall (MRN Radio): They head down to the start/finish line off Turn #4 with 12 laps to go. Eddy McRich hung onto the lead, at least THAT lap. Bart Simpson gave him a try, and Tommy Turner makes it 3-wide back there for 5th place. Let's see if he can find a place to "squeeze in" in Turn #1.
Dave Moody (MRN Radio): Remy Buxaplenty got to the bottom of Snap White, and Tommy Turner blew them BOTH away, moving the #20 machine to the #5 spot! Buxaplenty is in 6th! There's a battle for the lead now!
Mike Bagley (MRN Radio): Bart Simpson's to the bottom, racing side-by-side with Eddy McRich for the lead in Springfield! Bart Simpson takes the top spot in Turn #3!
Joe Moore (MRN Radio / playoff crowd roaring and cheering Bart on is heard in unison): The playoff crowd goes crazy here in Springfield as the "Bartman" takes the lead here this late afternoon, but maybe not yet! Here comes Eddy McRich battling back down to the inside, and now it's a 3-way battle as Trixie Tang's in the mix as well in Turn #1!
Dave Moody (MRN Radio): This one is NOT OVER YET! Eddy McRich dives to the low side and goes back after Bart Simpson! He's got a wheel up on the inside with Trixie Tang looking for real-estate!
Mike Bagley (MRN Radio): Bart Simpson swings back around the outside and goes back to the lead on the backstraightaway! He'll take Trixie Tang with him! Eddy McRich's going "backward" now as Bloo Kazoo goes to 3rd! *scene cuts to Bart's cockpit*
(onto the frontstretch, frontstraightaway, and Turns 1 & 2)
Bart (in 1st): Alright Trix, we just took the lead away from Dorky! You and Bloo can start playing defense and block the REXCOR drivers while you can! This is Team Fastex teamwork right here! *scene cuts to Trixie's cockpit*
Trixie Tang (in 3rd): You got it, Bartman! You got a strong car, and we're defending your rear bumper so you can win and advance us to the next round! (referring to the race after the "Eliminator Round" in the "2000 Krusty Krab 500 Fantasy Edition" wiki) *scene cuts to Bloo's cockpit*
Bloo (in 3rd): But Trixie, Remy has the best handling car on the racetrack--! *scene cuts to Trixie's cockpit*
Trixie (in 2nd / in an annoyed tone): Just work with us and block em', Bloo, please?! *scene cuts to Bloo's cockpit with a close up of Bloo's face*
Bloo (in 3rd): *groans* *scene cuts to the ESPN Boadcast Booth*
Bob Jenkins (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd roaring & cheering Bart on being heard in the background): Bart Simpson grabbed the lead back from Eddy McRich a lap ago *scene cuts to the track* and now Trixie Tang and Bloo play "defense" against the REXCOR drivers, especially the one who's the fastest car on the racetrack and that is playoff contender, Remy Buxaplenty!
Benny Parsons (ESPN): Man, oh man! Remy is FLYIN' on this racetrack! He's pullin' away from Tommy Turner, he just got by his REXCOR teammate, Eddy McRich, and now he is huntin' down the #25 and #31 cars for 2nd and 3rd!
Bob Jenkins (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd roaring & cheering Bart on being heard in the background): We're now coming with 7 laps to go in the Krusty Burger 400! *scene cuts to the track* Bart Simpson is the race leader as they come to the stripe, but a hard-charging Remy Buxaplenty is battling Trixie Tang for 2nd place! If Remy passes Trixie now, Bart must watch his back because Remy is charging like a madman!
Benny Parsons (ESPN): Man, oh man! That Remy Buxaplenty WANTS that first playoff victory! He's the fastest car on the racetrack so far! (referring to lap-times) *scene cuts to Remy's cockpit*
(On the backstretch, backstraightaway and Turns 3 & 4)
Remy Buxaplenty (in 3rd): Give it up, Tang! As popular you are, you still won't rid my chances at catching Bart and winning my first playoff race! *scene cuts to Remy's cockpit*
Trixie Tang (in 2nd): We'll see about that, Fu--*bleep*--saplenty! You know what they say, catching him is one thing, PASSING him is another!
Remy (in 3rd): *scoffs* I doubt it! *scene cuts to the track*
Barney Hall (MRN Radio): It's a hot battle for 2nd place right now. Here comes Remy Buxaplenty down to the inside of Trixie Tang. He's determined to get up there. He's still got time to catch the leader. Catching is one thing, getting around is another. He does not have 2nd place yet, they go to Turn #1.
Dave Moody (MRN Radio): The 2nd place battle is not over! Not at the moment! Buxaplenty goes down to the inside and powers by Trixie Tang! He's got the #2 spot! *scene cuts to Remy's cockpit*
(on the backstretch, backstraightaway, and Turns 3 & 4)
Remy Buxaplenty (in 2nd / voice only) Ha ha, just bypassed you, now I'm onto your lousy Fastex teammate (referring to race leader, Bart Simpson)! *sinister chuckle* *scene cuts to Trixie's cockpit*
Trixie Tang (in 3rd / worried): Oh, no... Bart, watch out! Remy's after you! *scene cuts to Bart's cockpit*
Trixie Tang (in 3rd / voice only / worried): Don't make ANY mistake! He has JUST ENOUGH laps to catch you!
Bart (in 1st): Don't worry, Trix! I handled other hard-charging jerks like him before (referring to the "2000 Sharpie 500 Fantasy Edition" wiki), I can do it again, this time to Remy! *scene cuts to Remy's cockpit*
Remy (in 2nd): You're toast now, Bart! *snobbish laugh* *scene cuts to Bart's cockpit*
Bart (in 1st): *scoffs* Over my dead body, dip-sh--*bleep*! *scene cuts to the track*
Bob Jenkins (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd HYSTERICALLY cheering/roaring Bart on): The white flag is is out for Bart Simpson! *scene cuts to the track* Will Bart hold off a hard-charging Remy Buxaplenty?!
Benny Parsons (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd HYSTERICALLY cheering/roaring Bart on): Man oh man, Remy is chargin' like a MADMAN! He don't want Bart to win and move on in the playoffs! *scene cuts to Remy's cockpit*
(Turn #2, backstretch, backstraightaway)
Remy (in 2nd): Hand over the win, Simpson! Team Fastex shall not triumph in the Chase opener! *scene cuts to Bart's cockpit*
Bart (in 1st): HAH! I DARE you to make a move on the high side in the last corners! And see what'll happen! *scene cuts to Remy's cockpit*
Remy (in 2nd): I don't trust you on that dare, Simpson! *scene cuts to Bart's cockpit*
Bart (in 1st): Oh, REALLY?! *scene cuts to Remy's cockpit*
Remy (in 2nd): I know it's one of those ridiculous dares of yours, Bartholomew! *scene cuts to he track*
Bob Jenkins (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd HYSTERICALLY cheering/roaring Bart on): They dive into Turn #3 for the final time, and here comes Remy making a charge!
Benny Parsons (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd HYSTERICALLY cheering/roaring Bart on): Remy goes to the high side, Bob! He might get by him there!
Bob Jenkins (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd HYSTERICALLY cheering/roaring Bart on):But Bart Simpson goes high, too! He nearly puts Buxaplenty in the wall!
Benny Parsons (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd HYSTERICALLY cheering/roaring Bart on): Man oh man!
Bob Jenkins (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd HYSTERICALLY cheering/roaring Bart on as he wins the race): Bart slams the door on Buxaplenty off the last corner! Remy tries to the inside, but Bart throws the block on him! Will he do it?! He's gonna do it! Bart Simpson will win the Krusty Burger 400 here in Springfield!
Benny Parsons (ESPN / in unison to the playoff crowd HYSTERICALLY cheering/roaring as Bart won the race): What a great finish, Bob! The Bartman strikes first in the 1st race of the playoffs, and this playoff crowd is lovin' this! His home crowd, Bob!
